Job summary

St Josephs seeks an enthusiastic EYFS practitioner to work with teachers and Early Years staff, supporting learning, development, care and wellbeing of children within the EYFS framework.

You will help plan, deliver and evaluate high-quality learning experiences, observe progress, record outcomes and plan targeted interventions. You will also contribute to safety, inclusivity and partnerships with parents and external professionals to support every child’s start to school.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in Early Years settings.
• Knowledge of EYFS statutory requirements.
• Ability to support children with SEND and EAL.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality adult-led and child-initiated learning experiences.
• Observe, assess and record children's progress and next steps.
• Support safeguarding, welfare and care needs of young children.
• Develop positive relationships with children, parents/carers and external professionals.
• Contribute to planning, delivery and evaluation of EYFS provision.
• Support transitions into Nursery, Reception and Key Stage 1.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation as required.
• Attend staff meetings, training and development opportunities.
