Job summary

Empowering Learning Ltd is seeking passionate Level 3 Early Years Practitioners for nurseries in and around Newcastle. You will support children from babies through to primary school age, helping them learn, grow and thrive in a safe, nurturing environment.

Applicants should hold Level 3 in Early Years and be ready to contribute to safeguarding practices. DBS checks and references are required; full-time and part-time roles are available in a supportive team setting.

Qualifications

• Must hold Level 3 in Early Years or equivalent.
• Experience in caring for children across ages is desirable.
• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and health & safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Support children's learning and development.
• Plan and participate in engaging activities.
• Provide a warm, nurturing environment for babies to primary school age.
• Assist with daily care tasks including nappies.
• Work as part of a friendly nursery team and follow safeguarding policies.

Empowering Learning Group are working in partnership with a large and well-established chain of private day nurseries across the Newcastle area, and we're looking for enthusiastic, dependable and caring Level 3 Early Years Practitioners to join their teams.

What will you be doing?

As an Early Years Practitioner, you'll play an important role in creating a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment where children can flourish.

You could be working with children ranging from babies through to primary school age, supporting their development through play, learning and everyday experiences.

Your role may include:

• Supporting children's learning and development
• Planning and participating in fun, engaging activities
• Providing a warm, caring and nurturing environment
• Working with children from babies through to primary school age
• Supporting with everyday care, including nappy changing
• Working positively as part of a friendly nursery team
• Following safeguarding, health and safety and Early Years procedures
• Helping every child feel valued, supported and encouraged

• Level 3 qualified in Early Years - essential for nursery ratios
• Dependable, reliable and professional
• Enthusiastic and genuinely passionate about working with children
• Happy and confident working with children of different ages
• Comfortable with all aspects of childcare, including nappy changing
• A positive team player with a caring and patient approach
• Committed to safeguarding and creating a safe environment for children

Safeguarding & References

You must:

• Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to purchase a new Enhanced DBS
• Be able to provide two years of professional work and/or education references
• Meet the safeguarding requirements for working within an Early Years setting
