Job summary

Axcis Education is seeking a confident SEND Learning Support Assistant to join a large mainstream secondary in Dagenham. You will support students across KS3/KS4, including those with Autism and other learning needs, through a mix of classroom and small-group guidance.

The role suits someone proactive, able to collaborate with teachers and SEND staff to help students access lessons and progress toward targets. Start after October Half Term, full-time and long-term.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Learning Support Assistant, SEND TA or secondary support worker.
• Confident supporting secondary-aged students.
• CACHE Level 2 or 3 qualification would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Support students across KS3 and KS4 within mainstream lessons.
• Work with pupils with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, dyslexia and other learning needs.
• Support students within the ASD provision.
• Provide a mix of classroom, 1:1 and small-group support.
• Help students access lessons across English, Maths, Science and other subjects.
• Support students with organisation, focus, communication and independence.
• Deliver targeted interventions when required.
• Support students against SEND targets and EHCP outcomes.
• Collaborate with subject teachers, SEND staff and the inclusion and pastoral teams.
