Job summary

Axcis Education is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with ASC in a supportive primary and secondary setting. Roles include part-time and full-time positions with immediate starts; salary from £93 per day.

Responsibilities include 1:1 and small group support, implementing behaviour plans, and promoting emotional regulation. You will work with ASD, ADHD and SEMH needs, collaborating with teachers and the SENCO.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting challenging behaviour or SEMH needs.
• Calm, confident and consistent approach.
• Strong behaviour management skills.
• Team player with excellent communication.
• Passionate about making a difference in SEND.

Responsibilities

• Provide consistent 1:1 and small group support for pupils with behavioural and emotional needs.
• Implement behaviour plans and positive reinforcement strategies.
• Support pupils with ASD, ADHD and SEMH needs.
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt learning activities.
• Promote emotional regulation and social skills development.
• Maintain a safe and structured learning environment.
