Job summary

Oakfield Community Primary School and Nursery in Widnes is seeking an experienced, compassionate teacher to lead day-to-day provision in our EYFS/KS1 resource base, with the flexibility to teach in mainstream. Qualifications

• QTS with recent EYFS/KS1 classroom experience.
• Experience with SEND and EHCPs is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of EYFS statutory requirements and pedagogy.

Responsibilities

• Plan and teach differentiated EYFS/KS1 provision for pupils with SEND.
• Act as key person and set personalised targets and pastoral care.
• Translate EHCPs into measurable short-term goals and monitor progress.
• Deliver targeted interventions and maintain assessment records.
• Lead teaching assistants and manage planning time.
• Liaise with parents, carers, and external professionals.
• Promote inclusion and support transitions, modelling strategies.
• Maintain safeguarding and contribute to school improvement.
