Job summary

LLOYD'S REGISTER INTERNATIONAL is seeking an EYFS and KS1 Learning Assistant to support pupils in Pre-Prep, working with teachers to deliver engaging activities and maintain a safe, nurturing environment.

You will assist with learning resources, pastoral care and liaison with parents, while participating in CPD and school-wide safeguarding practices. The role requires flexibility across key stages and adherence to school policies.

Qualifications

• Maths & English GCSE at grade C/4 or above; Level 3 EYFS CACHE or equivalent.
• Paediatric First Aid qualification, or willingness to undertake training.
• Ability to plan and provide age-appropriate activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the educational and social development of pupils in the Pre-Prep School under guidance.
• Share responsibility for pastoral care of the children.
• Cooperate with other staff members.
• Attend meetings and CPD as identified in appraisal.
• Cover for absent colleagues as directed by Head/Pre-Prep leadership.
• Promote good relationships between staff and parents.
• Establish a positive regard towards pupils.
• Prepare learning resources.
• Record progress and achievements as directed by the Class Teacher.
• Accompany out of school visits as requested.
• Assist with administrative tasks as requested.
• Keep up to date with First Aid training.
• Communicate with parents calmly and professionally.
• Ensure ISI standards are met.
