Job summary

Qualifications

• Relevant experience working with children in a school or educational setting.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and professional conduct expectations in schools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with children, staff and parents.

Responsibilities

• Support class teachers in delivering engaging, inclusive learning experiences.
• Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning and track progress.
• Help create a stimulating, well-organised classroom environment.
• Promote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing and social development using supportive approaches.
• Observe, record and share student progress with teaching staff.
• Support pupils with additional learning needs as required.
• Supervise pupils during breaks, lunches, trips and events.
• Assist with preparation of learning materials, displays and resources.
• Contribute to classroom routines, transitions and day-to-day organisation.
• Uphold safeguarding and child protection policies at all times.
