Job summary

Fulbridge Academy is seeking an EYFS Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team. You will work alongside the class teacher and EYFS staff to create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment where every child can learn and thrive.

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, patient, and flexible, with strong communication skills and a commitment to inclusive practice. HLTA status or a Level 4 qualification (or willingness to work towards) is required.

Qualifications

• EYFS experience and a secure understanding of effective early years practice are essential.
• HLTA status or Level 4 qualification, or willingness to work towards this.

Responsibilities

• Organise and manage stimulating indoor and outdoor learning environments and continuous provision.
• Support planning and delivery of engaging opportunities through play, both adult-led and child-initiated.
• Lead learning activities for individuals and groups under the teacher’s direction.
• Support development of communication, reading, phonics, writing and early maths skills.
• Observe and assess learning, giving regular feedback and next steps.
• Adapt activities for individuals and small groups, including children with SEND.
• Promote independence, confidence, emotional development and positive relationships.
• Encourage inclusion and full participation for every child.
• Attend meetings, training and planning sessions as required.
