Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking an EYFS 1:1 Support worker for Newton Aycliffe. The role focuses on enabling a child to access learning, develop communication and social skills, and feel safe and included within the setting.

You will work closely with the EYFS team and other professionals to support the child’s individual needs and development, in a full-time capacity from Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children within EYFS or early years settings.
  • Experience supporting children with additional or high needs is desirable.
  • A patient, nurturing and understanding approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with children.
  • Reliable, proactive and passionate about supporting children's development.

Start: ASAP

Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday

The Role

You will provide dedicated 1:1 support to a child, helping them to access learning, develop their communication and social skills, and feel safe, settled and included within the setting.

You will work closely with the EYFS team and other professionals to support the child's individual needs and development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
