Job summary

Teaching Personnel in Blackburn is seeking an EYFS Teaching Assistant to support early years learners during the crucial stages of development for the upcoming academic year. This role offers flexible start dates up to October half term and a competitive hourly pay rate.

Experience in early years settings is valued, with Level 3 EYQ being beneficial. DBS via Update Service is preferred but not essential for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young children in a school, nursery, preschool, or childcare setting.
• Knowledge of EYFS principles and child development is desirable.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Support children in the EYFS.
• Assist with engaging and interactive learning activities.
• Support children's social, emotional, and educational development.
• Encourage positive behaviour and independence.
• Work with small groups and individual pupils as required.
• Assist with classroom organisation and learning resources.
• Create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing learning environment.
