Job summary

Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Solutions, part of Spirax Group, is seeking a Production Operative (Extrusion 2-10) at Aflex - UK - Bradley Business Park. The role is on-site with an hourly rate of £13.45 plus 20% shift allowance and requires basic numeracy and general education.

You will work in a cooperative team, follow EH&S policies, perform quality checks, and help hit departmental and customer deadlines while maintaining safe, efficient extrusion processes.

Qualifications

• Good level of numeracy and general education.
• Basic knowledge of computers.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with EH&S policies and maintain a safe, clean work environment.
• Ensure quality products are produced in the required quantity, on time and at the lowest possible cost.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude to training and personal development.
• Monitor the performance of the process ensuring maximum output.
• Carry out and document the correct quality control checks for each job performed, completing all production paperwork.
• Work as a team to ensure departmental targets, company targets and customer deadlines are achieved.
• Adhere to correct procedures and ensure documentation is completed at the correct time.
• Adhere to safe working practices and perform safety checks to ensure department integrity.
• Maintain and report on the department's machines and address major maintenance issues.
• Carry out extrusion operations, including PTFE and other materials; manual handling as required.
