Career Choices Dewis Gyrfa Ltd is recruiting for permanent extrusion operator roles in the UK. Shifts are 4 on / 4 off, 12 hours per shift, with day and night coverage from 6am to 6pm and 6pm to 6am.

Pay rate starts at £16.11 per hour, rising to £24.16 per hour after standard weekly hours. Benefits include 28 days annual leave pro‑rata, online payslips and an online candidate portal. The Best Connection is acting as an Employment Business for this vacancy.

Responsibilities

• Operating and monitoring extrusion machines
• Checking raw materials are correct, then loading onto machines
• Quality checks to ensure high standards are maintained
• Housekeeping of extrusion lines, recycling units, packaging automation and associated equipment
• Ensure extruder pressures, amps, melt temperatures, frost lines and raw material feed are monitored at all times
• Report all hazardous situations immediately
• Monitor and manage line output rates, utilisation, scrap levels, quality issues and yield against plan/targets on each line
• Potential to be working at height
