Job summary

Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Solutions, part of Spirax Group, is recruiting a Machine Operator to join the machining team. You will support production of machined components for pumps and tubing, work with setters, and help drive process improvements in a high‑quality manufacturing environment.

The role involves 5S, root cause investigations, and mentoring apprentices and operators to raise skills and efficiency. On‑site, with a strong focus on safety and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Experience in a machine shop within manufacturing.
• Engineering qualification or demonstrable CNC turning experience.
• Keen eye for detail and drive for process improvement.
• Ability to work with others to achieve team goals.
• Willingness to mentor apprentices and operators.

Responsibilities

• Support the production of machined components for WMFTS pumps and tubing.
• Assist with end-of-line processes.
• Contribute to Continuous Improvement initiatives across the machining value stream.
• Drive 5S activities to maintain an efficient and safe workspace.
• Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
