Job summary

Intact Insurance, the rebranding of RSA in the UK, Ireland and across Europe, is seeking a qualified accountant to join the External Reporting team in the UK&I. You will consolidate and validate IFRS data, prepare regulatory and statutory reporting for RSA Group, and support Audit Committee papers.

The role focuses on accurate data gathering from multiple sources, robust challenge of complex data and effective stakeholder communication to ensure timely, compliant reporting.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with post-qualification experience.
• Ability to interpret IFRS and regulatory reporting for insurance companies at entity and group level.
• Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to investigate data from multiple sources to develop compliant reporting approaches.
• Effective stakeholder management and communication across teams.

Responsibilities

• Consolidates and validates the UK&I's externally reported financial data, ensuring it is controlled across consolidation and compliant with accounting standards.
• Prepares IFRS financial reporting for inclusion in IFC's financial statements and for RSA Group and UK Solo entities.
• Supports timely analytical reviews for IFRS and Solvency UK/Solvency II reporting.
• Supports production of Audit Committee papers and specialist accounting assessments.
• Prepares and delivers statutory, regulatory and statistical returns as required.
• Communicates with finance colleagues to gather data, investigate issues, and share information.
• Gather, validates and compiles data from internal/external sources to ensure accuracy.
