Job summary

Intact Insurance, Liverpool, seeks an External Reporting Consolidation Accountant for a 12m FTC to consolidate and validate IFRS data. You will prepare timely IFRS reporting for IFC/ RSA group, with oversight of UK&I statutory returns and regulatory compliance.

You’ll collaborate with finance teams, interpret IFRS/regulatory requirements, and support Audit Committee materials while driving accurate, insightful reporting across the organization.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with relevant post qualification experience.
• Ability to interpret IFRS and regulatory reporting requirements for insurance companies at entity and group level.
• Good written and verbal communication / presentation skills.
• Ability and confidence to interpret, investigate and robustly challenge complex data and information.
• Effective stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills.
• Performance and customer focus, with ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Consolidates and validates the UK&I externally reported financial data with appropriate controls.
• Prepares compliant and timely IFRS financial reporting for inclusion in IFC’s statements and RSA Group.
• Supports timely analytical reviews for IFRS and Solvency UK reporting.
• Supports in production of Audit Committee papers and specialist accounting assessments.
• Prepares and delivers statutory, regulatory and statistical returns as required.
• Communicates with business and finance colleagues to gather data and ensure alignment.
