Job summary

Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance Ltd seeks an External Reporting Consolidation Accountant (12m FTC) in Liverpool to consolidate and validate the UK&I reporting data, ensuring IFRS compliance and timely delivery to IFC and RSA Group. The role requires reviewing complex data streams and producing robust financial analyses for regulatory reporting.

You will collaborate with finance teams to gather data, challenge inconsistencies, and prepare statutory returns while supporting Audit Committee

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with post-qualification experience.
• Ability to interpret IFRS and regulatory reporting requirements for insurance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to investigate and robustly challenge disparate data sources.
• Effective stakeholder management and communication.
• Performance and customer focus with cross-stakeholder collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Consolidate and validate UK&I external financial data for IFRS reporting and CSA.
• Prepare compliant IFRS financial reporting for RSA Group and UK Solo entities.
• Support timely analytical reviews for IFRS and Solvency UK/Solvency II reporting.
• Assist in producing Audit Committee papers and accounting assessments.
• Prepare statutory, regulatory and statistical returns as required.
• Collaborate with business and finance colleagues to gather data and ensure data integrity.
• Gather, validate and compile data from multiple sources for accurate reporting.
