Job summary

Intact Insurance, the UK arm formerly RSA, is seeking a proactive Credit Controller in Halifax to manage broker accounts, collect premiums to terms and minimise debt exposure. You will perform cash allocation and reconciliation, maintain open communication with customers and colleagues, and identify issues to maximise collection activity and accuracy of policy records.

This an exciting opportunity to join our Credit Control team based in Halifax

You’ll make an impact by:

• Managing a workload of Broker accounts, collecting premium to terms to minimise debt exposure & risk.
• Cash allocation & reconciliation of broker accounts to ensure accurate account & debt position.
• Dealing directly with internal and/or external customers to deliver high standard of customer service.
• Active identification and resolution of issues arising to maximise collection activity & accuracy of policy records.
• Planning & prioritising your daily activities to investigate financial transactions and identify and influence solutions to problems/barriers arising.
• Engaging with customers and colleagues to maintain open lines of communication, ensure mutual understanding and the prompt resolution of issues arising

Your skills and experience:

• Highly self-motivated with the ability to take ownership and work independently
• Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team
• Good time management skills, with evidence of meeting deadlines
• Effective influencing and communication skills
• Demonstrate the ability to prioritise workloads and manage competing demands efficiently
