External Contracts Manager – Fire Safety Team – South of England

Salary: £42,500

Contract: Permanent

Nuco Solutions are recruiting an experienced External Contracts Manager to join the Fire Safety Team for a leading Housing Association in the South of England. This role is key in managing external contractors and ensuring that fire safety works are delivered efficiently, safely, and to the highest standard. Mileage will be provided for work‑related travel.

Role Responsibilities
  • Manage relationships with external contractors delivering fire safety works across the housing portfolio
  • Ensure all works comply with regulatory and safety standards, including fire safety legislation
  • Monitor contractor performance, quality, and adherence to deadlines
  • Coordinate and schedule works, providing clear instructions and support to contractors
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of completed works
  • Collaborate with the internal Fire Safety Team to plan and prioritise projects
  • Maintain accurate records of contracts, works, and compliance documentation
Requirements
  • Proven experience in contract management, preferably within housing or fire safety environments
  • Strong knowledge of fire safety regulations and compliance requirements
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and contractors simultaneously
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Experience within social housing desirable
