Our client specialises in supplying packaging raw materials and machinery to international manufacturing companies in the UK and EMEA regions.

As they continue to grow their market presence globally, they are looking for a proactive and experienced export sales executive, with strong business development ability, to be based in their London office. This role will be pivotal in managing and enhancing business and developing new business overseas and in the UK.

This is a great opportunity for the successful candidate to grow in an international trading business, which focuses on the marketing and distributing of various steel products in the Middle East, Europe, U.K & Africa.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Drive the existing business and develop new customers and products.
  2. Cooperate and liaise with international customers and suppliers.
  3. Regular reporting on sales and marketing activity.
  4. Achieve and exceed sales targets in line with the company strategy and defined KPI’s.
  5. Identify potential within new and existing customers with a view to growing the UK & Overseas turnover in line with the business’ extensive growth plans.
  6. Deliver a high level of customer service through value-add sales techniques concentrating on a multitude of market sectors.
  7. Work closely with your internally based colleagues as well as the regional offices to achieve the designated growth targets.
  8. Work closely with the technical team to increase product adoption as well as new applications for your diverse customer base.
  9. Deliver technical and commercial product presentations to a wide range of stakeholders.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Minimum 7 years of International Trading experience (knowledge of packaging raw materials as advantage)
  2. Able to build relationships with customers and suppliers.
  3. Knowledge of product and sector.
  4. Knowledge of import/export procedures including Incoterms.
  5. Team player and ability to work with different nationalities.
  6. Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  7. Travels to overseas field offices, suppliers, and customers.
  8. Interpersonal and customer-service skills.
