Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is recruiting an Export Operations Coordinator for a UK-based NVOCC in Thurrock. In this office-based, full-time role you will manage deep-sea groupage exports, coordinate bookings and liaise with customers and overseas agents.

You will handle AMS/ISF filings, CDS entries, and load planning while maintaining accurate documentation and timely updates. This is a stable office role with a small team in a friendly environment.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in export operations and deep sea export.
• Good knowledge of groupage and consol export work.
• Experience of AMS and ISF filing.
• Familiarity with UK export customs procedures and CDS entries.
• Excellent written and spoken English; ability to draft clear emails and communicate by phone.
• Organised and accurate, able to track several shipments simultaneously.
• Competent with Microsoft Office packages.

Responsibilities

• Sort the export inbox and respond to general export queries from customers.
• Handle rate requests from overseas agents.
• Enter bookings and arrange UK haulage.
• Carry out load planning, mainly for the USA but covering all destinations.
• Input and submit AMS and ISF filings.
• Arrange CDS entries.
• Keep customers and agents updated on the status of their shipments.
• Deal with problems as they arise and resolve them with the relevant party.
• Ensure paperwork and filings are completed accurately and on time across all live shipments.

Export Operations Coordinator - Deep Sea Groupage - Thurrock

About the Company

Our client is a UK-based NVOCC (non-vessel operating common carrier), handling groupage and consolidated LCL sea freight, both import and export. They work with customers and overseas agents across a wide range of destinations. The position is office based, and you will deal directly with customers and agents rather than working through layers of management.

Export Operations Coordinator - The Details

• Full-time, permanent position
• Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 17:30
• Office based only
• 20 days holiday plus all UK bank holidays
• Small team environment

Export Operations Coordinator - Requirements

• Solid experience in export operations - deep sea export
• Good working knowledge of groupage and consol export work
• Experience of AMS and ISF filing
• Familiarity with UK export customs procedures and CDS entries
• Excellent written and spoken English, with the ability to draft clear, accurate, professional emails without supervision and communicate confidently by phone with customers and agents
• Organised and accurate, with the ability to keep track of several shipments at once
• Friendly and polite, and comfortable working as part of a small team
• Competent with Microsoft Office packages

Desirable:

• Experience of US-bound groupage in particular
• Experience working with overseas agents
• Familiarity with freight forwarding operating systems
• Experience of load planning containers
