Our client, a respected Freight Forwarder based in Essex, is seeking an experienced Export Operator. This is a Seafreight position, and the successful candidate must have a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience. Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the role involves providing operational services to meet customer needs in a cost-effective manner while promoting the company. The main responsibilities include:

1. Dealing with exports via ocean freight worldwide
2. Preparing customs entries, Bill of Lading, E Manifests, and related documentation
3. Liaising with customers, overseas agents, and related parties
4. Handling Letters of Credit

The candidate must be computer literate, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, and demonstrate effective communication at all levels. Good geographical knowledge is essential. The ideal candidate will be organized, able to use initiative, adaptable, and flexible. They should understand customer needs and prioritize providing effective customer-led solutions.
