Job description

Our client is a British manufacturer with a worldwide reputation for developing high-performance printing inks for some of the most demanding applications in the industry.

As their international business continues to grow, they’re looking to appoint an ambitious Export Manager to support the day-to-day operations of our export department while helping to strengthen relationships with customers and distributors across global markets.

This is an excellent opportunity to become a key member of a close-knit team, playing an important role in the continued growth of an internationally recognised manufacturing business.

The Role

Working closely with experienced colleagues across the business, you will help manage and develop export activities, ensuring customers receive the highest levels of service while identifying opportunities to grow our international presence.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Building, maintaining and developing relationships with international distributors, agents and major manufacturers.
  • Promoting specialist ink solutions to customers and distributors across global markets.
  • Supporting the day-to-day operations of the export department, including international shipping, customs documentation and export administration.
  • Representing the company at selected international exhibitions, trade shows and customer visits, while supporting existing distributors and key accounts.
  • Working closely with laboratory teams to deliver bespoke technical ink solutions that meet customer requirements.
  • Assisting with the development of new export opportunities and helping to grow international sales.
  • Providing a professional and responsive service to customers while ensuring projects progress smoothly from enquiry through to delivery.
About You

We’re looking for a commercially minded individual who enjoys building long-term relationships and thrives in an international business environment.

Ideally, you’ll have:

  • Previous experience in export sales or export account management within the printing inks industry. Experience within chemicals or specialist packaging will also be considered.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Confidence working collaboratively across sales, technical and production teams.
  • A willingness to travel internationally as business needs require.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Experience using Microsoft Teams and Outlook.
  • Experience with Sage ERP software (or a similar business management system) would be advantageous.
Why Join?

This is an opportunity to join a respected British manufacturer with a genuine global footprint and an outstanding reputation for innovation and quality. You’ll become part of a supportive, family-owned business where your contribution will be valued, your ideas welcomed, and your work will directly influence the company’s continued international success.

If you’re looking for a varied export role within a specialist manufacturing environment where no two days are the same, we’d love to hear from you.
