Job summary

Office Angels is seeking an Export and Logistics Coordinator (Part Time) in Wellington, Somerset. You will handle international shipment documentation, ensure accuracy of shipping data, and maintain records in line with procedures.

The role supports freight forwarders and customs compliance across domestic and international shipments, with a focus on cost-effective logistics and strong stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

  • Experience in international logistics, import/export customs, and trade compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of UK/EU customs procedures, commercial invoices, commodity codes, country of origin requirements, and Incoterms.
  • Experience managing freight forwarders, couriers, and customs brokers.
  • Understanding of export controls, sanctions compliance, and strategic goods regulations.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, accuracy, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare commercial invoices, packing lists, and export documentation for international shipments.
  • Ensure shipping information is accurate and complete before dispatch.
  • Maintain import, export, and customs records in line with company procedures.
  • Support customs administration, including inward processing, temporary exports, repairs, warranty returns, and returned goods.
  • Obtain and maintain commodity codes, country of origin information, and customs data.
  • Coordinate certificates of origin and destination-specific documentation.
  • Escalate complex customs, export control, sanctions, and regulatory issues when necessary.
  • Arrange domestic and international shipments through freight forwarders, couriers, and logistics providers.
  • Obtain freight quotations and identify cost-effective shipping solutions.
  • Investigate and resolve shipment delays, customs queries, freight discrepancies, and delivery issues.
  • Coordinate product movements between customers, suppliers, repair facilities, and service locations worldwide.
  • Review freight invoices and supporting documentation for accuracy.
  • Develop and manage relationships with freight forwarders, couriers, and logistics providers.
  • Ensure compliance with UK customs requirements and international shipping regulations.
  • Follow company procedures relating to customs valuation, commodity classification, country of origin, and Incoterms.
  • Maintain shipping and customs records for audits, customer requests, and regulatory compliance.
  • Support the onboarding and management of freight forwarders, couriers, and customs service providers.
  • Identify opportunities to improve freight costs, documentation accuracy, delivery performance, and customer service.

Hours: Up to 30 hours - flexible on start and finish times dependant on the candidate
