An established precision engineering and manufacturing business based in Brighouse, West Yorkshire, is looking for an experienced Export Administrator to join its team.
With a history spanning more than 70 years, the business has built a strong reputation as a dependable UK-based subcontract manufacturing partner, supplying precision-engineered components to customers across the UK and overseas. The company has a friendly, practical working environment where accuracy, reliability and clear communication are valued.
The Export Administrator will be responsible for coordinating international shipments and ensuring all export documentation is accurate and completed correctly. The role will involve preparing commercial invoices, packing lists and certificates of origin, as well as booking and tracking freight with couriers and freight forwarders.
The successful candidate will also ensure export documentation complies with UK customs requirements and international regulations, provide customers with clear delivery updates and deal promptly with any transport delays or customs queries.
Previous experience within shipping, logistics or administration, ideally within an engineering or manufacturing environment, would be beneficial. Excellent attention to detail is important, particularly when dealing with technical information, drawing references and customs codes. Good communication skills and confidence using standard workplace IT systems, including spreadsheets, are also required.
The role would suit someone who is organised, practical and enjoys working in a busy manufacturing environment where getting the details right really matters.
£25,000 – £28,000 per annum, depending on experience.
