Job summary

Lancashire County Council is recruiting a Contextual Safeguarding Social Worker to join the EmPower Contextual Safeguarding Team in Central Lancashire. You will work in a permanent, full-time role delivering safeguarding support to children at risk of exploitation and extra-familial harm.

You’ll develop meaningful relationships with allocated children, work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and apply TCE practice principles to improve outcomes, within a supportive County Council environment.

Qualifications

• Must be registered (SWE) to be appointed as a Social Worker or have applied to register with the Social Care Council.
• DBS disclosure required under Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975.

Responsibilities

• Support children experiencing Exploitation and Extra Familial Harm within Contextual Safeguarding Service.
• Develop meaningful relationships with allocated children to achieve positive outcomes.
• Work within multi-disciplinary teams and apply TCE practice principles.
