Job summary

Lancashire County Council is recruiting a Senior Manager for EmPower Contextual Safeguarding within Education and Children's Services. You will lead services for children and young people, influence practice and champion safeguarding principles with cross‑organisational partners.

You will be responsible for performance management, risk oversight and budget stewardship while guiding teams through change, improvement and workforce development.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four years' management or leadership experience within children's social care.
• Professionally qualified and registered Social Worker (Social Work England).
• Management qualification or significant management training completed.

Responsibilities

• Lead services supporting children and young people, ensuring high-quality practice and safeguarding.
• Oversee performance, resources and budgets with senior partners.
• Drive contextual safeguarding and trauma‑informed practice across Lancashire.
