Job summary

Lancashire County Council is recruiting a Contextual Safeguarding Social Worker in the Central Lancashire area. The role is a permanent, full-time post (37 hours per week) across Preston, Chorley, South Ribble and West Lancashire.

The post is part of the EmPower Contextual Safeguarding Team, focusing on supporting children experiencing exploitation and extra familial harm. You will work as part of multidisciplinary teams to deliver positive outcomes for children.

Qualifications

• Registered Social Worker with SWE registration or on-track to register.
• Experience in safeguarding contexts, ideally contextual safeguarding or exploitation.
• Willingness to travel as needed within the region.

Responsibilities

• Support children experiencing exploitation and extra familial harm.
• Build meaningful relationships to help children achieve positive life outcomes.
• Work within a multidisciplinary team following TCE practice principles.

Contextual Safeguarding Social Worker

This is an exciting time to join Lancashire's Contextual Safeguarding Service as we redesign our approach to supporting children who are experiencing Exploitation and Extra Familial Harm.

By adopting the TCE practice principles and expanding our multi disciplinary teams, you will be able to develop meaningful relationships with the children you are allocated, supporting them to achieve positive outcomes in their lives

We currently have a Qualified Social Worker vacancy within our EmPower Contextual Safeguarding Team within Central Lancashire.
