Job summary

Lancashire County Council is seeking a Contextual Safeguarding Social Worker in Lancaster to help redesign how we support children experiencing exploitation and extra familial harm. You will work within the EmPower Contextual Safeguarding Team in Central Lancashire and develop meaningful relationships with each child to help achieve positive life outcomes.

Register with SWE (or have applied), expect a DBS check if successful, and be prepared to use a car for work.

Qualifications

• Must be registered (SWE) to be appointed as a Social Worker, or have applied to register.
• DBS disclosure required upon appointment.
• Must provide a car for work purposes and be insured for business use.

Responsibilities

• Support children experiencing exploitation and extra familial harm within the Contextual Safeguarding framework.
• Develop meaningful relationships with allocated children to achieve positive outcomes.
• Work within multidisciplinary teams to redesign support pathways.
