Job summary

Mitie Group plc. in the North East is seeking an experienced Painter and Decorator to deliver high-quality internal and external finishes across multiple projects. You will prepare surfaces, apply coatings, and carry out minor repairs, working to plans and deadlines while using mobile tech to record work activity.

The role offers full-time, permanent employment with 39 hours per week, Monday-Thursday 8:00-16:45 and Friday 8:00-15:45, with training provided and PPE supplied.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of verifiable painting and decorating experience.
• Ideally NVQ Level 2 qualification or equivalent; time-served/apprenticeship-trained preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail, good communication and customer service skills.
• Driving licence preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out internal and external painting and decorating works across multiple projects.
• Prepare surfaces, apply coatings and perform minor repairs.
• Safely erect and use access equipment; PPE provided.
• Record work activity using mobile technology as trained.
