Job summary

Mitie is offering an Apprentice Painter & Decorator role with full on-the-job training across a variety of commercial, residential, and public sector projects. You will learn surface preparation, painting techniques, and safe tool handling while contributing to high-quality finishes.

Responsibilities

• Assist with internal and external painting and decorating works across projects
• Prepare surfaces including sanding, filling and minor repairs
• Learn safe use and maintenance of painting tools and equipment
• Set up access equipment following training and install protective coverings
• Support stock control and ensure materials are available when needed
• Deliver quality workmanship and customer service while working safely

Working alongside experienced decorators, you'll receive full training in all aspects of painting and decorating across a variety of commercial, residential and public sector projects.

As an Apprentice Painter & Decorator, you will learn and assist with:

• Internal and external painting and decorating works
• Surface preparation, including sanding, filling and minor repairs
• Safe use and maintenance of painting and decorating tools, materials and equipment
• Setting up and using access equipment following appropriate training
• Installing protective coverings, temporary screening and access plant as required
• Maintaining stock levels and ensuring materials are available when needed
• Delivering high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service
• Working safely and complying with Health & Safety procedures at all times
• Supporting project teams to ensure works are completed on time and to a high standard
