Job summary

Mitie is hiring an Apprentice Painter & Decorator in Middlesbrough. You will gain hands-on experience while earning a salary and working toward a recognised Painting & Decorating qualification.

The role covers both internal and external painting, with full training and support from experienced professionals across regional projects. The position is a permanent, full-time apprenticeship with 39 hours per week and a starting pay of £8.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Internal and external painting and decorating works.
• Preparing surfaces, including sanding, filling and minor repair works.
• Learning how to use painting and decorating tools safely and effectively.
• Assisting with the erection and use of access equipment following appropriate training.
• Setting up access plant, protective coverings and temporary screening where required.
• Maintaining decorating materials and equipment to ensure efficient working practices.
• Delivering high-quality workmanship while meeting customer expectations.
• Working safely and following all Health & Safety procedures at all times.
