Job summary

Horizon Parking Ltd is seeking an experienced Groundworks Supervisor to lead on-site tasks from Preston Yard with weekly rotations and nationwide travel across the UK. Overnight stays and occasional night shifts are required. A diverse benefits package supports welfare and development.

Role focuses on supervising groundworks including paving, drainage and concreting, ensuring safety and client standards. Valid CSCS and SSSTS are essential, with a driving licence and 360 excavator ticket highly

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months experience in a grounds maintenance supervisory role.
• Experience using a range of power tools and equipment.
• CSCS Card and SSSTS certification are required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise on-site works and ensure all processes are followed.
• Carry out general groundworks: paving, kerbing, bollards, drainage, concreting, surfacing as per client requirements.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety policies on site.
• Deliver high-quality work meeting client expectations.
• Complete completion reports using the online admin system.
• Sign permits to work on site and manage on-site safety for the team and public.

Job description

Horizon Parking Ltd is a car park management company, providing our various services nationwide.

Due to business growth we currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Groundworks Supervisor to join the Horizon Parking team on a permanent basis. This role will involve using our Preston Yard as a base to complete your weekly rota/tasks and then travelling across the UK to cover the various different allocated jobs, and as such, it will require flexibility for overnight stays throughout the working week (1-3 nights per week).

Please note that some of the work we do also requires us to work through the night, so you must be willing to work both day and night shifts.

Please note: Successful applicants will be required to provide proof of their eligibility to work in the UK and supply accurate reference details covering their recent employment history. This role will also be subject to an Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.

What do I need to do…

As a Groundworks Supervisor, you are responsible for:

• Supervision of work on site, ensuring all processes are followed correctly.
• General construction work in line with client requirements, including paving, kerbing, installing bollards / machines / equipment, foundation work, drainage, finishing works, surfacing, concreting etc.
• Ensuring full compliance with company and on-site client health and safety policy and requirements.
• Delivering a high-quality work in line with company and client expectations.
• Undertake any other duties as may be reasonably required
• Completing Completion reports after completion of works using our online admin system.
• Signing permits to work on site
• Managing health and safety on site to protect your team and the public.

Experience Skills required:

• Minimum of 12 months experience of working in grounds maintenance supervisory role.
• Experience of using a range of power tools and equipment.
• CSCS Card.
• SSSTS
• Ability to work at heights.
• Full driving licence.
• 360 Excavator Operator ticket (above or below 10 tonne)

This role will require working away from home on a planned basis. Hotel accommodation and subsistence allowance is provided in line with our Expense Policy.
