Hull Culture & Leisure Limited is seeking a part-time Museum Technician to assist with exhibition installations across Hull Museums sites, with a strong emphasis on new digital technologies.

The role requires a technical qualification in engineering, metalwork or joinery (or equivalent experience) and involves handling lighting, audio-visual setups and display maintenance across multiple sites.

Formación

• A technical qualification in engineering, metalwork, joinery, or similar.
• General technical experience is essential, preferably in heritage or art environments.

Responsabilidades

• Construct, repair, install and maintain display equipment in consultation with curatorial staff.
• Maintain permanent displays to high standards and protect collections.
• Set up and dismantle displays and exhibitions across the heritage service.
• Manage transport and handling of museum objects and fine art.
• Provide cost estimates for technical work from contractors or suppliers.
• Assist with operation and care of audio-visual equipment and events.
• Support development and implementation of projects within the service.
• Handle and move museum objects under supervision of the curator.
• Assist technical team to deliver rolling exhibitions across sites.
• Adhere to health and safety policies and procedures.
