Job summary

Dr. Martens is seeking an engaging Assistant Store Manager for our Exeter store. You will partner with the Store Manager to guide the team, deliver outstanding service, and support commercial objectives while prioritising colleague wellbeing and development.

You should be experienced in coaching, have fashion retail know-how, and drive store KPIs with a customer-first mindset. English fluency and IT proficiency are essential for day-to-day operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in an Assistant Store Manager or Supervisor role, ideally in a fashion/lifestyle brand.
• Fluent business English communication skills.
• Proven ability to coach, develop and mentor teams.
• Strong customer service focus and sales guidance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily store operations to company standards (coaching, sales analysis, visual merchandising, admin).
• Act as store lead in absence of the Store Manager.
• Ensure health & safety and security within the store.
• Drive KPI attainment (Sales, Conversion, UPT) aligned to store budget.
• Lead high standards of customer experience and product knowledge through coaching.
