Are you a highly skilled Executive Support Coordinator looking for a role where you can make a meaningful difference every day?
We are seeking an Executive Support Coordinator to provide high quality executive, administrative and corporate support to the Director of Income Generation and Engagement. The Director’s remit includes our award-winning fundraising and communication teams. This department moves at pace and requires an individual who is skilled in balancing competing demands whilst providing a high quality and comprehensive administrative service in a busy and challenging environment. You will be supporting a Director who is visually impaired and will therefore need to provide tailored support to enable full access to their work, including helping to navigate systems that are otherwise inaccessible and providing support on occasions at events.
Please note that the Director is normally supported by a guide dog. We anticipate that a guide dog may become part of the working environment during the course of this maternity cover, so candidates should be comfortable working alongside a working dog.
You will join a high performing Executive Support team, where you will work alongside highly experienced and supportive peers and management providing executive support to the Senior Leadership Team.
This role will ideally be based in our Head Office in Edinburgh, although we would consider another central CHAS site as a base. The team works on a hybrid basis with a minimum of 2 days onsite each week. You should also expect travel to other CHAS sites as required.
To be successful in this role, you will have skill and experience in the following areas:
In Scotland, three children a week die from a life‑shortening condition. CHAS provides unwavering care for children who may die young, and their whole families. Our team of staff and volunteers work across two children’s hospices, in community settings across the country, and in hospitals alongside NHS staff. We are there for families every step of the way, supporting them in life, death and beyond. Our ambition is that no‑one should face the death of their child alone.
Our Income Generation and Engagement Directorate is crucial in achieving that ambition and has big and creative plans on how to do that. It is an exciting time to join our team and this impactful role will directly contribute to the effectiveness of our leadership team.
Location: Hybrid role which will be based at our Head Office in Edinburgh alongside some home working. We would consider other central CHAS sites (Glasgow, Robin House in Balloch or Rachel House in Kinross) as a base location but regular travel to Head Office in Edinburgh will be required regardless of base location.
Salary: CHAS Enabling Care Level D: £31,140 - £36,556 per annum (pro rata)
Contract: Maternity leave cover (13 months), Full Time 35 hours per week
This post is subject to a Disclosure Scotland Level 1 check
(Note, if primary base is a hospice, this role may require a Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) check)
