You will also support community-based events and initiatives that increase both income and awareness, helping supporters understand that the Appeal is about more than buildings: it is about choice, dignity and care for families, wherever they are – at home, in hospital or in a hospice.

You will also inspire people to get involved by recruiting, training and developing volunteers. Working alongside the Community Fundraising team, you will help build sustainable, community-led fundraising with long-term impact.

  • Experience of recruiting, training and supporting volunteers, matching tasks to people’s strengths and helping volunteers feel valued, confident and well supported.
  • Strong administrative skills and confidence using systems or customer relationship management databases, with a clear understanding of data protection and confidentiality.

Please note that a driving licence and access to a car will be essential for this role. There will be a regular requirement to transport yourself and materials as well as cash between CHAS sites, community sites and events.
