Job summary

British Gas is seeking a senior partnerships professional to lead OEM strategic relationships and drive commercial outcomes. You will act as the trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, manage governance forums and coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver value for a growing portfolio of partners.

The role requires strong commercial acumen, experience in regulated environments, and a proven ability to identify growth opportunities while ensuring customer, regulatory and reputational outcomes

Qualifications

• Significant experience in relationship management within a complex organisation.
• Proven track record managing senior external stakeholders and multi-year commercial relationships.
• Strong commercial acumen with ability to interpret contracts, business cases, and performance data.
• Experience leading governance forums, managing escalations and cross‑functional delivery.
• Ability to identify growth opportunities while protecting customer, commercial and regulatory outcomes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with clear senior updates.

Responsibilities

• Own and develop OEM strategic partnerships as primary relationship lead.
• Drive partner success by delivering contractual commitments and commercial objectives.
• Lead governance and regulatory oversight including performance reviews and risk management.
• Use performance insights to identify opportunities for growth and value realisation.
• Develop and execute account plans supporting partner retention and renewal.
• Identify and progress new growth opportunities including cross-sell and expansion initiatives.
• Manage partnership risks and remediation plans with accountability for outcomes.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver successful partnership outcomes.
• Provide clear, decision-ready updates to senior leaders on performance and risks.
• Support onboarding and integration of new strategic partners.
