Job summary

Polaris seeks an Executive Headteacher to lead up to six schools in the South East and East of England, driving school improvement, SEND provision, and a strategic safeguarding framework. You will report to the MD of Education and collaborate across the central team to deliver strong educational outcomes.

The role requires vision, hands-on leadership, and commercial acumen to ensure sustainable, high-quality education across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Essential: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with significant experience in educational leadership roles such as Regional Director, Education Lead or Principal.
• Essential: National qualification for Headship (NPQH) / NPQEL.
• Desirable: Multi-site leadership experience with proven ability to lead new school openings and manage large-scale projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic leadership and school improvement across up to six schools.
• Oversee opening of new schools, regulatory compliance, staffing and operations.
• Drive SEND provision improvements and collaboration with senior leadership.
• Embed safeguarding framework and regulatory compliance (Ofsted/ISSR).
• Ensure financial sustainability and effective resource management across the portfolio.
