Placements24 is seeking a Head Chef for a premier event catering company based in Randburg. The role leads culinary operations, from menu development to staff management, ensuring exceptional quality for high-profile events.

The candidate will have extensive experience in fine dining or luxury catering, with strong leadership and a passion for culinary excellence. This position requires flexibility for demanding hours and travel to event locations within Gauteng.

Formación

• 8+ years of progressive culinary experience with 4+ years in Head Chef or Executive Sous Chef role.
• Experience in menu costing, menu development and large-scale event execution.
• Strong leadership, communication and team management skills.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and HACCP compliance.

Responsabilidades

• Lead kitchen operations, including food prep, cooking and presentation.
• Develop seasonal, profitable menus for diverse events.
• Train and mentor kitchen staff; foster high-performance teams.
• Ensure top-quality food, taste, and presentation at all times.
• Manage inventory, procurement, and stock rotation to control costs.
• Enforce health, safety and hygiene regulations (HACCP).
• Collaborate with event planners to ensure flawless catering execution.
