Job summary

Compass Group UK&I invites applications for a General Manager role at Lodestone House, King Edward’s School, Witley. You will lead a 30-strong team delivering premium hospitality across prep and senior schools, including 70 boarders, with a focus on exceptional service and strong client relationships.

You will manage budgets and operations, drive commercial performance, and develop your team to uphold food safety and compliance while delivering outstanding experiences for pupils and staff.

Qualifications

• High-end hospitality leadership experience.
• Proven ability to manage and develop teams.
• Single-site operational management in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Lead a 30‑strong team across prep and senior schools.
• Deliver high-end hospitality, exceptional food and service.
• Manage budgets, labour, gross profit, purchasing and costs.
• Grow sales and strengthen client relationships while meeting contractual commitments.
• Ensure compliance, food safety and health & safety standards.
