Job summary

Zohorecruit is representing a values-driven not-for-profit aged care provider seeking an Executive Director – Residential Services to lead two Melbourne-area facilities. The role reports to the CEO and boards, mentoring Clinical Care Managers to ensure high-quality, safe care.

This executive position focuses on growth, reform, and operational excellence, with scope to oversee up to five facilities in the future and drive strategic expansion in a changing national landscape.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience in residential aged care, ideally across multiple sites.
• Proven ability to balance financial performance with high-quality care outcomes.
• Knowledge of aged care funding models, policy, accreditation and compliance.
• Experience in operational planning, HR, financial management and clinical governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead two co-located facilities with 150 beds total and a Memory Support Unit.
• Oversee quality standards, clinical governance and compliance with aged care quality standards.
• Guide daily operations across both facilities and ensure safe, person-centred care.
• Drive reform, strategic expansion and explore new models of care.
• Lead budget planning, contract oversight and efficient resource allocation.
• Foster a positive workplace culture and staff development.
