Job summary

Proofpoint is seeking aSenior Technical Account Manager (TAM) to partner with enterprise customers, driving measurable security value and cyber resiliency. You will engage with CISOs and executives while maintaining deep technical knowledge to guide Proofpoint deployments.

You will identify risks, craft adoption and value plans, and coach customers on aligning Proofpoint capabilities with business strategy. A strong Linux, messaging and cloud security background is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to drive measurable business outcomes for enterprise customers.
• Executive presence with experience engaging at C-suite levels, including CISOs and CIOs.
• Strategic risk assessment and advisory experience to identify adoption gaps and renewal risks.
• Strong commercial acumen with ARR, renewals, and customer lifetime value.

Responsibilities

• Drive business outcomes aligned to customer security goals and ROI.
• Serve as strategic risk advisor—proactively identifying renewal, adoption, and security posture risks.
• Act as an executive consultant—building trusted relationships at CISO/VP level with strategic insights.
• Architect adoption and value realization plans to maximize Proofpoint deployment.
• Coach customers on cyber resiliency strategy within their security framework.
• Lead executive business reviews and strategic planning sessions.
• Maintain expertise across the Proofpoint platform and roadmap.
• Assess customer goals and deployment; recommend improvements to security posture and performance.
• Act as technical advocate with support teams and feature requests.
• Conduct proactive health checks and performance optimization recommendations.
• Provide industry trends and product roadmap insights for the customer’s business.
• Set goals and track progress with regular reports.
• Conduct weekly status calls and periodic executive reviews.
