Job summary

Holroyd Howe is seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead the culinary team at Terra Nova. You will be responsible for creating menus, managing kitchen operations and delivering outstanding food experiences to pupils, staff and visitors.

Joining Holroyd Howe, a UK-leading contract caterer for independent schools, you’ll tailor menus, supervise recruitment and training, manage budgets and ensure food safety and allergen controls across the site.

Qualifications

• Executive Chef experience in contract catering or education settings.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Knowledge of current food trends, sustainability and allergen control.

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen operations ensuring top quality, safety and presentation.
• Create innovative, seasonal menus tailored to school requirements.
• Recruit, train and develop kitchen staff.
• Control budgets, stock and supplier relationships.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, health and safeguarding policies.
• Collaborate with school teams to deliver outstanding experiences.
• Champion allergen controls.
