Job summary

Holroyd Howe is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Sous Chef to join the kitchen team at a Worcestershire school. You’ll support food preparation, maintain high standards and contribute to daily meals and events.

Joining Holroyd Howe, a leading UK contract caterer for independent schools and colleges, you’ll work with a team of seasoned professionals to tailor catering services for children of all ages while ensuring allergen controls and safe dining experiences.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Sous Chef in contract catering, preferably within independent education.
• Passionate about fresh, seasonal food and presentation.
• Strong attention to detail and food safety standards.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Flexible and proactive approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations.
• Motivate the team to deliver high standards of food and service.
• Ensure food safety and allergen controls are consistently met.
• Contribute to menu planning and mise en place.
• Support events and school life activities.
