Job description

Join us, be part of more.

We’re more than an energy company; we are a family of brands revolutionising how we power the planet. We are energisers, a team of 21,000 colleagues committed to creating a greener, fairer future by transforming the energy system away from fossil fuels. We live our commitment to positive change in our communities. Here, you will find purpose, passion, and potential. That’s why working here is #MoreThanACareer. We do energy differently — we make it, store it, move it, sell it, and mend it.

We are seeking a dedicated Executive Assistant to support our Group General Counsel and Company Secretary. Your role will involve providing high-quality, proactive, and confidential executive support, including diary, meeting, and travel management, and ensuring effective communication and prioritisation of business-critical tasks within our Legal function and across the Centrica Group.

Location: Ideally, you will be based within easy commuting distance to either our Windsor or London sites and be flexible to travel as required.

What will you do?
  • Travel Management: Coordinate and book complex travel arrangements, plan detailed itineraries, and make independent decisions regarding travel logistics.
  • Meeting Preparation: Ensure the legal leadership team is well prepared for meetings with necessary documentation in advance.
  • Communication Management: Manage incoming correspondence, screen messages, and alert the Director of high-importance issues.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a primary contact for internal and external queries, providing information and escalating complex matters.
  • Meeting Coordination: Create agendas, distribute pre-reads, take minutes, and follow up on action items.
  • Visitor Management: Greet visitors professionally and courteously.
  • Financial Administration: Manage expenses and process invoices in compliance with company policies.
  • Project Support: Support with organizing key events and ad hoc project management.
  • Team Support: Assist with diary management for the wider team, coordinating meetings efficiently.
Who are we looking for?
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in prioritising demands and managing the Director's time.
  • Decisiveness in travel arrangements, meeting scheduling, and visitor management.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
  • Skill in escalating issues requiring immediate attention.
  • Problem-solving skills with minimal supervision.
  • Proactive in anticipating needs and addressing issues.
  • A self-motivated individual capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
Why should you apply?
