Job summary

J.P. Morgan seeks an Executive Director, Head of Applied AI & Data Transformation for Core Data within the Commercial & Investment Bank. You will define and execute strategies to manage, automate, and scale Core Data capabilities, ensuring discoverability, quality, and access.

You will collaborate with Technology, Business, and Operations to deliver value across Markets and securities services. You will lead a high-calibre team, foster AI-readiness, and drive data transparency.

Qualifications

• Experience leading data strategy, transformation, or similar senior role in regulated environments.
• Deep understanding of core data domains enabling downstream processing.
• Familiar with data cataloguing, metadata, and API design concepts.
• Ability to translate complex data concepts for broad audiences.
• Experience designing automation for data management and workflows.
• Proven delivery through influence and partnerships across stakeholders.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to scale capabilities.
• Leadership experience, including building high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead Core Data strategy and AI-readiness within CIB.
• Define an executable roadmap for discoverability and semantics of Core Data.
• Partner with Technology to make Core Data assets accessible for people and machines.
• Ensure reference data registered in Compass catalogue and integrated into Fusion.
• Shape exposure of reference data via distribution APIs for staff and systems.
• Establish semantic layers with business meaning and relationships for AI consumers.
• Identify and remove complexity and manual handling in Core Data processes.
• Develop data quality assessment capabilities with transparent reporting.
• Evaluate automation approaches including rules-based and AI/ML solutions.
• Drive self-service access for Business and Operations users.
• Collaborate with Reference Data Product Owners and senior leadership.
• Scale the team to meet business demand.
