Job summary

Carlsberg Britvic is seeking a Senior Manager to lead the end-to-end implementation of the Carlsberg Excellence programme across site and supply chain operations. You will coach, assess, and embed all nine pillars, drive KPI alignment, and shape organisational design for performance improvements.

You will have 5+ years in production, with leadership experience, and a proven track record in Lean, TPM or Six Sigma. This role is based at our UK site and offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a production environment with at least 3 years in a management role.
• Experience in managing change and implementing improvement programs (Lean, TPM, Six Sigma).
• Strong strategic thinking, business acumen and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Roll out Carlsberg Excellence fundamentals and pillars across brewery operations.
• Develop and deliver tactical implementation plans aligned with strategy and targets.
• Ensure effective use of PMS structures, meetings and reporting per group standards.
• Apply continuous improvement via Gemba Walks, Kaizen and structured problem-solving.
• Refine practices to improve cost, efficiency and performance outcomes.
• Cascade KPI targets across end-to-end functions and new ways of working.
• Lead and develop the team, conduct appraisals and build capability.
• Facilitate workshops, trainings and monthly performance reviews.
• Ensure resources, compliance with standards and management of initiatives.

About the role:

Join the team managing operational excellence across Carlsberg Britvic by overseeing the end-to-end implementation of the Carlsberg Excellence programme. You’ll coach, assess, and embed all nine pillars of the Excellence Journey, support strategic planning cycles, and lead focused improvement initiatives to eliminate losses and set lasting standards. This role plays a key part in benchmarking, capability building, and shaping organisational design to deliver performance across site and supply chain operations.

Role Responsibilities:

• Support the rollout of Carlsberg Excellence fundamentals and pillars across brewery operations.
• Develop and deliver tactical implementation plans aligned with site strategy, master plans, and performance targets.
• Ensure effective use of PMS structures, standard meetings, and reporting systems in line with group standards.
• Use continuous improvement through Gemba Walks, Kaizen, and structured problem-solving with a Zero Loss mindset.
• Review and refine Carlsberg Excellence practices to improve cost, efficiency, and performance outcomes.
• Cascade and align KPI/KAI targets across end-to-end functions, supporting delivery through new ways of working.
• Act as a leadership role model, managing team development, performance appraisals, and capability building.
• Facilitate workshops, trainings, and monthly performance reviews to embed best practices and improve outcomes.
• Ensure resource allocation, compliance with Excellence standards, and effective management of key initiatives.

Experience and Key Attributes:

• University degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain or a related production role.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a production environment, with at least 3 years in a management position.
• Experience in managing change and implementing improvement programs (Lean, TPM, Six Sigma) to meet performance targets.
• Well-developed strategic thinking, business acumen, and analytical skills with a focus on results and customer value.
• Demonstrated ability to coach, lead, and empower teams through process changes in a changing operational setting.
• Effective communication, stakeholder management, and facilitation skills across all organizational levels.
• Proficient in MS Office and experienced with business systems such as SAP, MES, and MRO.
• Deep understanding of end-to-end business processes and continuous improvement methodologies
