Carlsberg Britvic is recruiting a Quality Manager to safeguard quality, safety and integrity of iconic UK drinks brands at our Rugby site. You will lead a team of quality professionals, drive a strong quality culture, support operational excellence, and ensure compliance across the site in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience managing quality teams in an FMCG/manufacturing setting.
• Experience implementing quality and food safety standards across a site.
• Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills to drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the site quality team, fostering a high-performing culture focused on quality, food safety and continuous improvement.
• Provide day-to-day technical and quality support to manufacturing and production teams to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Lead quality and food safety investigations, conduct root-cause analysis and implement corrective and preventative actions.
• Manage stock hold and release processes in line with quality and food safety requirements.
• Oversee analytical, sensory and proficiency testing programmes to maintain product quality.
• Ensure quality systems, GMP standards and food safety requirements are embedded and continuously improved.
• Monitor and report quality KPIs, identify trends and drive improvement actions.
• Manage quality control equipment and training to strengthen quality awareness across the site.

Location: Rugby, CV21 1HA

Job Length: Permanent

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week. Working around the core hours of 8am and 5pm on a Monday to Friday basis.

If you are interested in joining our journey, we are now recruiting for a Quality Manager. Reporting to the Site Senior Quality Manager, this role will play a key part in our success journey, and you will have the opportunity to be involved in the following:

Role Responsibilities:

• Lead, coach and develop the site shift Quality Technicians, creating a high-performing culture focused on quality, food safety and continuous improvement.
• Provide day-to-day technical and quality support to manufacturing and production teams, ensuring compliance with quality standards and procedures.
• Lead quality and food safety investigations, conducting root cause analysis and implementing effective corrective and preventative actions.
• Manage stock hold and release processes, ensuring product is assessed and released in line with quality and food safety requirements.
• Oversee analytical, sensory and proficiency testing programmes to maintain product quality and technical standards.
• Ensure quality systems, GMP standards and food safety requirements are embedded, maintained and continuously improved across the site.
• Monitor and report on quality KPIs, identifying trends and driving actions to improve performance.
• Manage and maintain quality control equipment, ensuring it remains fit for purpose and supports operational excellence.
• Deliver training, coaching and capability development to strengthen quality awareness and build a positive quality culture across the site.

Experience and Key Attributes:

• Proven people leadership experience, with the ability to coach, develop and motivate teams to achieve high performance.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across multiple functions.
• Experience analysing data, identifying trends and creating action plans to drive improvement and resolve issues.
• Ability to balance competing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Understanding of quality, food safety or technical processes within FMCG or manufacturing environments is advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving skills with experience investigating issues and implementing sustainable solutions.
• Collaborative, resilient and improvement-focused, with a passion for building capability and driving a positive quality culture.
• FMCG or food manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of quality systems, food safety, microbiology and analytical testing.
• Experience with SAP or similar systems.
• Awareness of Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.
• Relevant Science, Engineering or Quality qualifications.
