Job summary

Swansea University is recruiting a Research Assistant to develop GPU-accelerated high-performance scientific computing within the EPSRC REMODEL programme. Based at Swansea University, you will work at the intersection of GPU computing, scientific software and computational engineering, developing and optimising simulation software to exploit heterogeneous HPC systems and enable large-scale exascale simulation.

A key objective is to advance mesh generation and adaptivity for very large scales.

Qualifications

• Strong programming experience in Fortran and/or C++ for scientific computing.
• Experience with GPU programming and CUDA is desirable.
• Experience with MPI/OpenMP parallelism and HPC workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop GPU-accelerated simulation software for exascale computations.
• Investigate and optimize numerical methods and solver workflows for GPUs.
• Collaborate within the REMODEL consortium and contribute to publications.
