Job description

The examination function provides a high-quality service to all students at Preston College. The Exams Administrator will provide efficient and coordinated business support for all awarding body and examination processes within the college.

The role involves maintaining accurate learner and exam data using both college and awarding organisation systems, managing the collection, validation and filing of evidence, and supporting the daily operation of the exam timetable. This includes preparing exam rooms and materials, liaising with invigilators, supporting learners with access arrangements, and overseeing the secure dispatch and archiving of exam scripts and related documentation. Working flexibly within the team, the post holder will manage workload to meet deadlines, contribute to continuous service improvement, and provide clear advice and guidance to colleagues on examination and administrative processes.

Job Title: Exams Administrator

Salary: From SCP10 (£26,181) up to SCP14 (£27,107) per annum pro rata, depending on qualifications and experience.

Hours: 37 hours per week, 1.0 FTE, Permanent
